Details on POP:)

Since tis blog isn't officially opened 2 all guides yet, meaning oni the sec3s noe bout it, i shall post the details bout POP on it.

Venue: Multi-purpose hall (innosphere)
Date: 13 July 2007
Objectives:

- To let the juniors be more committed to and learn more about guides.
- To allow the seniors to have a memorable and enjoyable farewell party.
- To create bond amongst all guides

Estimated Time plan
2.00pm-2.10pm: Everybody to report in guides full-uniform in front of the basketball court. All bags and belongings to be placed in the multi-purpose hall. 5 mins is given, then they are to proceed to fall-in at the same area by 2.10pm

2.10pm – 2.30pm: Uniform check by the sec 3s and attendance taking of juniors.
Swan ser and Hui Yan in-charge of managing juniors as well as taking attendance, JT yijie in-charge of taking care of belongings etc.


2.35pm- 2.45pm: Ma'ams should have reached the the area. They will now check the attire of all guides.

2.45pm- 3.05pm: Flag raising ceremony at the field nearer to innosphere.

3.05pm- 3.20pm: Powerpoint presentation of messages for seniors or similar at the hall hosted by wan ting & RP yijie. The rest of the guides are to change into their costume (Crowd control in-charge Samantha and Wai Khee )and stand-by for their performance.

3.20pm-4.00pm: Performances start-- sec 1 song, sec 1 dance, sec 2 skit, sec 2 dance sec3s' item.

Cherie and xian wei overall in-charge of all performances, MCs for first period (sec 1 song- sec1 dance) is cherie and xian wei, second period (from sec2 dance, sec2 skit to sec3 item) is Wan Ting and Rp YiJie.

Crowd control in-charge Samantha & Wai Khee, because guides' will be separated into groups to change back into full-u while the performances are going on and the time used from changing (5mins) and noise created in the room/ toilet will be managed by them and ensure that they do not take too long to change in the cubicles.

4.00pm - 4.20pm: Guides will go to first floor of innosphere to eat the food.

4.20pm- 4.40pm: Seniors (Top4) will be invited to go on to stage for a speech, followed by prize presentation for all ma'ams. Individual patrol juniors can also go onto the stage to present gifts to their patrol leaders/ seconds.

4.40pm -4.50pm: Cake cutting =)

4.50pm- 5.00pm: All guides to fall-in and seniors will be invited to go on to the stage. A teacher will be requested to help annouce the posts for they next batch of guides.

5.00pm- 5.20pm: Flag lowering hosted by new CLs.

5.20pm- 5.40pm: All guides to clear up the area & return flag pole. ( Mei zhen & Grace overall in-charge of logistics; ensure that juniors cooperate in clearing up the area, and the decorations are done before the event)

5.40pm- 6.15pm: dismissed.

Things to prepare beforehand:
- flag pole should be raised the day before
- food & drinks should be brought and prepared by sec2s according to ma’ams
- decorations of hall etc balloons, ribbons, banners or posters- welcome ceremony, decorate pathway etc
- attendance list

Things to bring:
· Powerpoint slides
· Present for 21 ma’ams
· Present for top 4 & QM
· Prepare the BIG “POP” word

Things to remind juniors:

· Bring props
· Bring costume
· Bring CD or song for their item
· Bring PL & PS gifts
