Hey Guides :D This is a reminder for Sec 1s and 2s.

Sec1s
1.This is your HOME 1.2 Assignment which needs to be done at home and handed in by 26/08/11. Please compile a list of at least 3 different brands of

(i) Soaps,
(ii) Detergent and
(iii) Bleaches

Which are available in the supermarket. Photos must be attached. A total of 9 items must be on the list.

Compare the cost and weight; hence, suggest which brand is best for your home usage.

2.Next, is your HOME 1.3 Assignment. This assignment will be done during activity on 26/08/11 and to be handed in on the same day. This is individual work.

You are required to create an interesting and creative pencil holder cum dustbin that can be displayed on a desk. This item must be able to serve as a dustbin and pencil holder at the same time. There can be many compartments but it must only be one item, whereby the pencil holder and the dustbin are not separated. Please bring the required materials that you need for creating this artifact.


Sec 2s
This is a gentle reminder about the work assigned last Friday. This is to be handed in by the 26th August, this coming activity. You can…
(a) Make a flower-pressing or leaf-pressing that consists of at least 3 flowers/leaves. After having your pressed leaves and flowers, please paste them onto a piece of paper. Identify each of the different flora and fauna and write down the names of the plants near each leaf/flower.

OR

(b) Make a poster depicting any theme on conservation of the environment. E.g. Global Warming, Animals, Reforestation etc. You are allowed to use any art materials you want. You are encouraged to decorate it with recyclable materials or the leaves and flowers that are picked from the ground (not plucked!).

Please remember to hand it in by the deadline. Thank you☺
