CIP Events :)) (for Sec 3s only)

Hi all Sec 3s Guides! :D

Here are 3 CIP events that you may want to participate in:

1. Community Sports Competition
Date: 13 – 21 August 2011
Training:
All Training sessions are compulsory. Training will be conducted in 2 phases.
• Core Training (July): Generic overview of the Games, Highlights on Volunteer Policy, Service Excellence Training
• Functional Area Training (July/August): Role-specific operations, scope, site-recce (if applicable)
You will receive your specific Training schedule upon confirmation of role.

All Volunteers should fulfil the following conditions:
• 15 years old and above
• Able to commit at least a total of 2 days

Volunteers will be issued with 2 sets of T-shirts to be used as a uniform when performing duty during the games
• Meal will be provided during the course of the volunteer’s duty
• All volunteers will be presented with a Certificate of Recognition at the end the games.
• All volunteers must complete a minimum of 2 days (totaling a minimum of 16 hours) work to be eligible to receive the Certificate of Recognition.
• A token of appreciation (non-monetary) will be given to each volunteer at the end of the games.

Basically your will help with the event operation, services, etc.


2. SCMS 2011 Race Entry Pack Collection

Date: 29 Nov to 3 Dec 2011
Training:
There will be 2 compulsory trainings:
a. Service Excellence Course (Aug – Oct )
b. Roles on REPC Day (Late Oct – Mid Nov)

Volunteers are required to attend for both training. The details about the training (Venue, Date & Time) will be informed at a later date.
Each Briefing is approximately 3 hours unless otherwise stated.
To register as a volunteer, you must be 15 years of age and above as at 01 January, 2011.

c. If you are under the age of 18 years, you are required to seek consent from a parent/guardian.
d. As a volunteer, you should also ensure you are both medically and physically fit.

All volunteers who fulfill all the required duties and conduct are entitled to the following:
a. Exclusive ASICS T-Shirt
b. Electronic Certificate of participation
c. S$20 (Crew) S$30 (Leader) token allowance per shift
d. Goodie Bag
e. CIP Hours in Electronic form (upon request)

Basically this CIP is about asking you to pack some goodie bag that is to be distributed during the Standard Chartered Race??


3. Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011 – RACE Day

Date: Around the same time as the Entry pack date

Training:
There will be 2 Compulsory Trainings:
Service Excellence Course (Aug – Oct )
Roles on Event Day (Late Oct – Mid Nov
Volunteers are required to attend for both training. The details about the training (Venue, Date & Time) will be informed at a later date.
Each Briefing is approximately 3 hours unless otherwise stated.

1. Minimum Age (as of 1 January, 2011):
• 15 years of age

2. Parental Consent:
Volunteers may be required to report during the wee hours on event day

Entitlement
a. Exclusive ASICS T-Shirt
b. Electronic Certificate of Appreciation
c. Goodie bag
d. S$20 token allowance
e. CIP Hours in Electronic form (upon request)

There are many different jobs and duties for this CIP, such as distributing drinks, being the safety, welfare personnel etc.
